Artist Statement

My artistic practice explores the dialogue between the naiveté of making and the complexity of our shared existence. My work encourages us to reflect on the absurdity of being and the conventional norms encrypted in the art world. My visual art practice is multidisciplinary, always transforming, illustrative, abstract, improvised, research-based, and experimental. The mediums I’ve worked with so far include: painting, creative writing, playwrighting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, collage, video, sound, performance, puppet-making, doll-making, installation, and ceramics. I am interested in maximizing experience in regards to medium plurality as opposed to becoming a master of a monopractice.

Self-expression, intersectional feminism, persian folk tales, absurdities, intuition, contradictions, chronotopes, identity, sexuality, bodies, nightmares, music and mistakes are things that inspire me greatly.

At the moment I am interested in researching the concept of chronotopes and labyrinths in my visual art pratice and developping my experimental play.
